ACCOUNTANT – GRADE WA9/WA10

  4. SALARY SCHEME             : Based on salary scheme for the Grade WA9 / WA10

 

WORK DESCRIPTION:

    1. Perform the full spectrum of financial and accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/ receivables, and business support activities;
    2. Prepare timely and accurate monthly/ annual financial reports, including sales/ expense reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements;
    3. Prepare audited financial statements, notes to accounts, and audit schedules; coordinate and support audit processes;
    4. Analyse financial data and present clear, insightful reports and recommendations to the Management;
    5. Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and support implementation and monitoring against approved budgets;
    6. Monitor cash flow, report cash positions, and ensure optimum cash levels for operational purposes;
    7. Liaise with internal departments and external parties such as auditors, tax agents, banks and government authorities to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance;
    8. Recommend and implement continuous improvements in financial processes, internal controls, policies, and procedures; and
    9. Undertake ad-hoc financial and accounting assignments as required by the Management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Malaysian Citizen;
    2. Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
    3. Professional qualifications such as ACCA/ CPA/ MIA/ CIMA will be an added advantage;
    4. Minimum five (5) years of relevant accounting and finance experience;
    5. Candidates with prior experience in a Multinational Corporation (MNC), audit field, or Big Four accounting firms will have an added advantage;
    6. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”), the Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standards (“MPERS”), Malaysian Public Sector Accounting Standards (“MPSAS”), as well as taxation laws, governing standards, and regulatory requirements;
    7. Able to multitask, fast learner, independent, and capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision to meet tight deadlines; possesses a strong sense of urgency;
    8. Detail-oriented with strong financial analytical skills and a good team player;
    9. Demonstrates strong leadership qualities, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;
    10. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software (SQL);
    11. Good written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English; and
    12. Willing to work beyond standard working hours when required.

INTERNAL AUDIT AND INTEGRITY ASSISTANT (PSH)

WORK DESCRIPTION:

  1. Conduct audit fieldwork covering compliance, financial, operational, and integrity aspects as per the Annual Audit Plan;
  2. Prepare draft audit reports and communicate recommendations in accordance with statutory requirements, The IIA’s International Standards, policies and procedures;
  3. Follow-up on the results of audit recommendations;
  4. Prepare creative materials, such as posters and slides for integrity awareness;
  5. Support in organizing training programs and awareness campaigns to promote an integrity-driven culture;
  6. Maintain documentation to ensure records are accurate and up to date; and
  7. Ensure all assignments are completed on time.
 
 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Malaysian Citizen, 19 years old and above;
  2. Candidate must possess at least Diploma/ Bachelor in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent;
  3. Minimum 2 years of working experience in audit is an added advantage;
  4. Good attitude with strong integrity;
  5. Service-oriented, pleasant disposition with good interpersonal and communication skills; and
  6. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

SECURITY & CROWD CONTROL ASSISTANT - (PSH)

WORK DESCRIPTION:

  1. Carry out patrols and security monitoring throughout the Penang Hill Corporation (PHC)’s premises every hour during the day and every two hours at night or as directed by the PHC’s Security Officer;
  2. Make notes and reports every hour on duty of current matters in the Safety Log Book;
  3. Maintain and ensure that PHC property is in good condition and safe;
  4. Ensuring security control in the premises to prevent theft and elements of sabotage;
  5. Prohibit or prevent any visitor from bringing prohibited items and pets into the funicular;
  6. Report to the PHC Security Officer immediately in the event of any incident that violates the rules or instructions issued by PHC;
  7. Ensure that no activities are held at the PBBPP premises without the approval of the PHC Management;
  8. Receive and execute all instructions from the PHC Security Officer;
  9. Assist in Visitors Management (Crowd Control & Que Management) and need to adopt the following attitudes:
    1. Practice good public relations procedures when communicating with visitors;
    2. Has a good character and customer friendly.
  10. Other duties as directed by the PHC Security Officer and PHC Management from time to time.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Malaysian citizens, especially residents of Penang or near Penang Hill Corporation (PHC);
  2. Aged 25 years and above;
  3. Have a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or a Security Guard Skills Course Certificate organized by the Malaysian Security Control Services Association (PPKKM) or other relevant qualifications;
  4. Retirees or former uniformed bodies such as former members of the ATM, PDRM or BOMBA are eligible to be considered;
  5. Have a good level of health as well as strong and healthy physical and mental endurance;
  6. Has a cheerful personality and can communicate well in Bahasa Malaysia and English;
  7. Has no record of offenses especially involving criminal or drug cases; and
  8. Can work in shifts, overtime, public holidays and weekends.
