FACILITIES MANAGER – GRADE J12 / J13

WORK DESCRIPTION:

  1. Responsible for the safety, security and maintenance of of PHC’s visitors, staff, buildings, assets and reputation;
  2. Plan, develop and implement facilities management programs including 'preventive maintenance' and 'life cycle' requirements;
  3. Conduct and record facility inspections and ensure compliance with industry code standards for occupational health and safety requirements;
  4. Planning and supervising the repair, improvement, modification and maintenance of facilities;
  5. Control and ensure that relevant laws and regulations are fully complied with;
  6. Evaluate the effectiveness of facilities management and development programs;
  7. Manage and ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA), emergency response and all ISO standards;
  8. Manage and administer the Security Unit. The duties include developing and implementing security policies and procedures, managing security personnel and ensuring compliance with security laws;
  9. Enforcing safety and security related acts;
  10. Provide various support services; and
  11. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Malaysian Citizen, 40 years old and above;
  2. Bachelor Degree or professional qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Maintenance or any other related discipline with additional qualification in Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA). Higher qualification will be an advantage; 
  3. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience and previous working experience in a senior facility planning or management, security management, occupational safety and health and security management will be an added advantage;
  4. Strong analytical, operations and technical skills, including strong ability in problem solving and knowledge in various compliance regulations; 
  5. Strong negotiation and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both verbal and written). Additional language skills would be added advantage; 
  6. Motivated and self-driven individual with a strong commitment to integrity, professionalism and must be a team player; 
  7. Strong people management, interpersonal and presentation skills are required; and
  8. Must be prepared to occasionally work on weekends and public holidays.
